I
take pride in announcing that the celebration of the
first annual Choice Medicine’s Community Day will
take place on October 4, 2008 at the Hwy 53 Medical
Center. The center is located at 8208 Hwy 53 North,
Toney AL 35773. This year’s event will take place in
two parts: a 2-Mile Walk/ Run for Charity and
a Health and Wellness Fair.
Schedule:
7:30am- Registration
8am- 2-Mile Walk/Run for Charity
10am- Health and Wellness Fair

I
personally invite you to take part in our 2-Mile
Walk/ Run for Charity benefiting our indigent and
uninsured health care fund. It is a great way to
stay healthy and aid in the health of others.
Registration is on October 4, 2008 at 7:30am and
will continue to until 7:55am. If interested in
participating, you may sign up individually or as a
group (families, friends, companies). Participation
fees are $5 per person for a group of 5 or more, and
$10 per individual. Your participation in this event
will aid us in our mission to improve medical and
dental access for those in need.
This Walk/ Run events begins promptly at 8am, and
winners will be announced shortly after the
completion of the race. Awards will be given to the
1st place contestant for the fastest run
and the largest participating group. The Community
Health and Wellness Fair will begin at 10am and
continue until 4pm. There will be food and prizes
offered to participants. Admission to the fair is
free to the public and we only require that visitors
go through certain events to qualify for prizes. We
plan to have free confidential testing for
Tuberculosis, HIV, Diabetes and so much more. Also,
we will have educational games dealing with wellness
and nutrition. During the event, we will be having
virtual tours of our new facility, the Hwy 53
Medical Center. We hope to make this an event that
will be cherished by the community for a long time

Choice Medicine, you can depend on us to provide the
highest level of customer service and we hope that
you will aid in this endeavor. We are kicking off
our Choice 1000 Fundraiser and we would like you to
participate. We need you to become a major
contributor to the future of health care. Please
consider a tax-deductible donation of $1000.00 to
assist us in setting up a health care fund to help
our local uninsured economically disadvantaged
residents. The number of uninsured Alabamians is at
an all-time high, one in 6 Americans needs your
help!
